27.01.2021 media release January
The organizers of Switzerland’s largest financial fair have taken the decision to cancel FINANZ’21 definitively. Given the current COVID-19 situation, it cannot be stated with confidence whether the fair could take place on 19 and 20 May 2021, or indeed whether events of this magnitude will prove possible at all this year. Given this background, and in order to protect exhibitors, speakers, and fair visitors, the organizers have decided not to proceed with this year’s fair. They will now focus on the organization of FINANZ’22, which will take place on 19 and 20 January 2022 in Halle 550 in Zurich Oerlikon.

FINANZ’21 and IMMO’21: A special concept for special times
The organizers of FINANZ’21 and IMMO’21 are very keen to take the needs of exhibitors and visitors into account in these special times. With this in mind, the fairs will be split into two different events as a one-off step next year. Both events will take place for the first time in the newly opened Halle 550 in Zurich Oerlikon. As planned, IMMO’21 will open its doors on 20 and 21 January 2021. By contrast, the 23rd staging of FINANZ’21 will now take place on 19 and 20 May 2021. The event organizers are once again planning to hold both fairs simultaneously in 2022.

New exhibitor and visitor record for FINANZ’20 and IMMO’20
The 22nd staging of Switzerland’s largest financial fair – which was the eighth time this event included the Swiss property fair for investors – closed its doors on 22 January. Even in an era of digitalization, this dual offering remains very popular. Thanks to more than 170 national and international exhibitors – of which 79 were exhibiting at IMMO’20 – and 3’800 visitors, the event organizers managed to surpass last year’s figures. Particular attractions for attendees included the events on modern monetary theory, sustainable investing, the investment environment for pension funds, digitalization and new technologies in the financial world, and the IMMO’Forum.
