Michael P. Burch, Managing Director, is COO of BlackRock in Switzerland. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2016, Mr. Burch was Managing Director and COO of Kleinwort Benson Bank Limited in London and the Channel Islands. He was a member of the management team, being responsible for IT, Operations, Vendor Management, BCP, Property, Marketing and Communication. In this function, Mr. Burch was regulated by the FCA under the Senior Management Regime. Mr Burch was also MD and Head of Strategy for BHF Kleinwort Benson Group, being in charge of acquisitions, strategic investors / partnerships and operational excellence across the group. He started his career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was a Principal, focusing on Strategy, M&A and Cost in the financial services industry. During his seven years with BCG, Mr. Burch worked for a number of international financial services clients. He also spent two years in the US, working for BCG New York. Mr. Burch holds a PhD in International Business and a MBA from University of St. Gallen (HSG).
