Alexis Freyeisen is an Equity Specialist in the Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team, based in Zurich. He is responsible for the marketing and communication of Emerging Markets and Asian equity strategies. Prior to taking on his current role in May 2014, Alexis was an associate Equity Specialist in the global capabilities team covering a broad range of active equity strategies. Alexis joined UBS in March 2013 in the wealth management division as associate Discretionary Mandate Specialist. His responsibilities included the analysis and communication of all aspects of mandate characteristics to clients.
PhD, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, Matthews Asia
Robert Horrocks is Chief Investment Officer at Matthews Asia and a Portfolio Manager. He manages the firm's Asian Growth and Income Strategy and co-manages the Asia Dividend and Asia ex Japan Dividend Strategies. As Chief Investment Officer, Robert oversees the firm's investment process and investment professionals and sets the research agenda for the investment team. Before joining Matthews Asia in 2008, Robert was Head of Research at Mirae Asset Management in Hong Kong. From 2003 to 2006, Robert served as Chief Investment Officer for Everbright Pramerica in China, establishing its quantitative investment process. He started his career as a Research Analyst with WI Carr Securities in Hong Kong before moving on to spend eight years working in several different Asian jurisdictions for Schroders. Robert earned his PhD in Chinese Economic History from Leeds University in the United Kingdom, and is fluent in Mandarin.

Joined Schroders in 2018. Investment career started in 1997. Joined Schroders from HSBC Global Asset Management where he was Senior Product Specialist, Asia ex Japan Equities. Prior to this, Stephen was an Equity Salesperson with a number of investment banks including Merrill Lynch, CLSA and Standard Chartered. Stephen started his career in 1997 as a research analyst covering Hong Kong financials with Merrill Lynch. Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant
Deputy General Manager, Quantitative Portfolio Manager, Huatai-PineBridge
Based in the Huatai-PineBridge headquarters in Shanghai, Hanqing Tian is the Deputy General Manager and Quantitative Portfolio Manager responsible for managing the firm’s quant strategies. Prior to joining Huatai-PineBridge, Hanqing was an Advisor/Director at the Department of Fund Supervision and the Research Center of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). Before the CSRC, Hanqing worked in Barclays Global Investors (BGI, now Blackrock), as a Portfolio Manager and Principle managing one of the firm’s best performing funds, Asia ex-Japan Market Neutral Strategy. Prior to this, Hanqing worked on private equity investment and project financing for seven years. Hanqing obtained her MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. She has a Masters degree in Engineering as well as a Bachelor degree in Economics from School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University.
Senior Investment Specialist - Equities, Aberdeen Standard Investments
Ross is the investment specialist for the Aberdeen Standard Investments equity fund range and is responsible for the commercialisation and development of the equity asset class. He works alongside the investment team and his primary role is to ensure that clients and consultants have clarity on the philosophy, process and investment positioning of this growing asset class. By understanding the changing needs of different groups of investors, he is responsible for developing new equity strategies and customised investment solutions for institutional clients globally. He has recently been involved in the development of the global equity impact strategy. Relevant Experience: 18 years investment experience at Aberdeen Standard Investments, 24 years experience in the industry.
